CSL 1 - The Showdown
Chess Scholarship League (CSL) was created with a vision to produce Grandmasters from India. To elevate deserving and aspiring chess players’ dream of becoming a chess champion through professional coaching.
The first edition of CSL was held on 24th September 2023, and the results are overwhelming.
As advertised, the winners have all received their prizes as cash, coaching, chess-base software, books, fun merchandise, and more!
Here’s a brief look at how CSL 1 turned out:
Over 250 players from 5 counters and 20 Indian states played 9 rounds of blitz on chess.com lasting 4 hours on a Sunday morning.
60 winners received varying level of prizes including scholarship and diamond memberships from chess.com.
Karnav Rastogi with a rating of 2081 on chess.com played scintillating rounds of game to win the top spot with a score of 7.5 out of 9.
